Hindi Diwas (September 15, 2007) 'Hindi Diwas' was celebrated with a special assembly, where children deliberated about the importance of Hindi as our National Language. Activities such as 'Kavita Lekhan', 'Kavita Sammelan' & 'Vad-Vivad Pratiyogita' were conducted.
Teacher's Day (September 5, 2007) A special assembly was conducted by the students of Classes IV & V. The children sang songs, recited poems & gave speeches in praise of their teachers.
SUMMER HOBBY CLASSES (MAY, 2007) Delhi Public School Vasant Vihar and Infant Branch set up an invigorating learning environment in the form of ‘Summer Hobby Classes’ at the school premises, for a duration of 15 days, from May1 to May 17. During this course students explored their talents.
IN-HOUSE TEACHERS’ WORKSHOPS (MAY, 2007) Special in-house workshops were organized for the staff members of the Junior school and Infant Branch in different spheres. These workshops were specially designed to ensure that the staff keeps abreast with the latest trends in teaching methodology and pedagogy.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY (APRIL,2007) The Investiture Ceremony was held on April 26, 2007 at DPS Vasant Vihar to honour the school appointments and monitors of the current academic session, 2007-2008. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Ms.Barkha Singh, MLA. She conferred the badges on 69 deserving students. There was a cultural programme which included an orchestra recital, a choir song, and a fusion dance. It was indeed a proud day for the students, teachers and parents.
15TH RAMANUJAN (JR.) INTER SCHOOL MATHEMATICS COMPETITION 2007 15th Ramanujan (Jr.) Inter School Mathematics Competition 2007, was organised by Modern School, Vasant Vihar. The school got the SECOND POSITION, with a score of (86.20) with a difference of only .30 marks from the school that stood first, with a score of (86.50). 46 schools and 86 individual students participated.
GRANDPARENTS DAY (MARCH, 2007)
Grandparents day was celebrated by all students of Class III. Grand parents were specially invited and students put up a ‘Talent Show’ for them. There was hundred percent participation. The cultural programme provided a platform for each and every child to show case his/her talent. The Grandparents were extremely appreciative and went back thrilled!
FAREWELL (CLASS V – FEBRUARY, 2007)
A farewell camp was organised for Class V children going to Class VI, at DPS R.K.Puram.
MATHS CAFÉ – FEBRUARY, 2007
To teach the little ones practical handling of money and basic accounting, ‘ Maths Café ‘ was organized for the students of classes Prep, I, II & III.
Japan Exchange Programme(Jan 21 to Jan 27, 2007) Under the aegis of Delhi Public School R.K.Puram, a group of 16 students and 4 adults from Nagano, a suburb of Tokyo city, visited India from January 21 to January 27, 2007, as part of the Indo-Japan Exchange Programme between Kawada Elementary School and Vasant Vihar and Matsushiro School and East of Kailash.
Sports Day (Prep, I & II)
To make the children aware of the importance of physical fitness and to inculcate in them the habit of playing and exercising regularly, the school periodically organizes activities related to Sports. The 'Sports Day' was thus organised for classes Prep, I & II, in the month of January, 2007.
ANNUAL DAY (DECEMBER 8, 2006) Delhi Public School, Vasant Vihar, celebrated its Annual Day by staging an adaptation of Andrew Llyod Webber’s Broadway musical ‘Starlight Express’ on Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Air Force Auditorium, Subroto Park.

Science Exhibition Science exhibition was organised by students of Classes III, IV & V. Children exhibited projects, working models and showed interesting experiments. Parents were invited for this. They were overwhelmed to see the youngsters talk enthusiastically and confidently about their exhibits!
